Electrical work on a home should end with a certificate and test results, and notifiable work should be registered with the council. An invoice on its own proves nothing to a buyer or an insurer.

TN & A Electrical Service Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 15606186, incorporated in March 2024, with its registered office at 98 Commercial Road, London E1 1NU. We work to BS 7671 and are registered with a government-authorised competent person scheme under [COMPETENT PERSON SCHEME REGISTRATION NUMBER].
Two things worth insisting on from any electrician. Notifiable work in a home must be registered — through a competent person scheme or with building control — and you should receive a compliance certificate, because without it a buyer's solicitor or an insurer has nothing to rely on. And an EICR records condition on the day: it is not a warranty against future faults, and a report with a C1 or C2 cannot honestly be marked satisfactory. We do not carry out gas work, which needs a Gas Safe registered engineer.
At least every five years in England, with the report held and given to tenants and, on request, the local authority. That has been the law since 2020 and it is enforced by councils.
It is common in older housing, and it means something coded C1 or C2 was found — danger or potential danger. We will not mark a report satisfactory where one applies, and the remedial work is quoted separately so you can compare prices.
Some work is notifiable and some is not. Where it is, our scheme registration lets us self-certify and notify, and you get a compliance certificate. Ask any electrician whether they can do that.
Not without finding why it trips. A breaker doing its job is a symptom; swapping it removes the protection and leaves the fault. We test to locate it first.
Often yes, and sometimes not. A charge point draws a sustained load, so the main fuse, board and earthing all need assessing first. We will tell you honestly if an upgrade is needed before you order a car charger.
No. Gas work requires a Gas Safe registered engineer and we are electricians. We will coordinate rather than take it on.
